What are Springsuits?
Springsuits are wetsuits that are worn when it is too warm for a full suit, but not quite warm enough for a wetsuit top or rashguard/no top. These suits have short legs and can have either short sleeves or long sleeves. Pretty much all springsuits are going to be 2 mm thick, but there are some 3 mm ones out there.
When might you need a springsuit?
Springsuits are great when the water is somewhere around 70° F mark give or take. Sometimes the water may be a bit warmer, but if it’s a windy day or you’re surfing early in the morning when the sun isn’t fully up (or a combination of both), it can be nice to have a springsuit.
